Frances Lewis at Red kite Press

Frances Lewis is a painter, printmaker and writer of ‘How to’ printmaking guides. She graduated from Sheffield Hallam in 2004 in painting and printmaking. Essentially, she is an expressionist. She uses both disciplines to process emotion and explore narrative and visual story telling within her art. Red Kite Press is her studio where she found an interest in writing printmaking guides while developing her own low-tech approach to screenprinting, finding a balance and dividing her time between painting, printmaking and writing which became part of the process.

The Little Bookshop is a later development in Frances Lewis’s creative journey as an artist. She is a painter and printmaker firstly and now self publishes print guides available via Amazon. You can find out more here to read her book descriptions or click the link to Amazon.

“Making is what all artists start out wanting to do and the possibilities are infinite. I have an inclusive approach to the ‘How to’ genera. By attempting to communicate to others my own experience of printmaking I reaffirm my own knowledge and help others along the way.’
